Data Management (MDS)

MCCS needs to manage a great variety and number of data points to enable the core business processes of system and grid operations (monitoring, control, load-flow calculations, etc.). We provide a single source of truth for all grid master data with federated instances that are quality-assured and can be ingested by other modules (data mesh approach). The data in the MCCS environment is governed in a federated architecture, but centrally orchestrated. An integrated data management suite builds the umbrella for data managers to view and modify the grid data. This approach means that we see data as a product rather than a by-product.
